About Parsa Rad

Parsa Rad is an award-winning Artistic Director, at one of the most respected men’s salons in the country, The Refinery Mayfair, in London. Parsa recently became a grooming ambassador at Braun and Proctor and Gamble.

His induction into the barbering arts came while still at school: aged 14 he started an apprenticeship with his own barber in his native city of Tehran, in Iran, while still at school. After graduating from the barbering college of Tehran he moved to the UK in 2006, managing salons in Glasgow and Leeds, training staff, in hairdressing skills and his burgeoning speciality, the wet shave.

After moving to London and completing the Vidal Sassoon barbering course - where he trained the staff in the use of the cut-throat razor, also completing a Diploma in Hair Science at Philip Kingsley, he rose through the ranks at The Refinery, becoming Artistic Director in 2012 at the age of 23.

Two years later Parsa won the title of Best British Wet Shave Barber at the British wet-shave championships, held in Cardiff and run by the British Barber’s Association, after winning the London heat. He has made numerous media appearances, including in GQ and Harrods magazines, BBC documentary and was named one of the best barbers in London by Esquire magazine.
